Dr. Paul Standal works with several Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) in San Diego. The workplace is where many of his clients spend a majority of their day.
Unfortunately, the workplace can become a toxic environment, filled with stress and anxiety. Helping clients manage their relationship with their work environment is similar in some ways to managing issues in family relationships. We also find Leadership and Management issues specific to the workplace are important areas of growth and development as a coaching for more practical issues as Resolving Workplace Conflicts or dealing with burn out or time management. A particularly difficult but common problem is in dealing with workplace affairs both between employees but also more complicated that between a supervisor and a subordinate.
Dr. Standal helps both supervisors and employees facilitate productivity and healthy boundaries in the workplace. He teaches conflict resolution and communication skill building, problem solving, negotiations and dealing with difficult co-workers or supervisors. He also coaches supervisors and managers in essential leadership and management skills, providing the optimum environment for increased satisfaction, avoiding burnout and time management and productivity in partnership with their co-workers.
Entrepreneurial coaching and skill building, even within a structured work environment, also becomes an important part of the growth and development process, resulting in increased self-satisfaction with work-related issues.
